I’m adding a little “?” help button to the bottom right of the Workflowy page, as is standard nowadays. I was going to enable it by default only for new users, with an option to toggle it on/off in settings. I’m wondering, though, if any existing users would want it.
I have mixed feelings... I'd like the option to toggle it on/off with a keyboard shortcut (Cmd-? or some such) in order to retain a cleaner, distraction-free writing/work environment

I think it's a useful feature. I'm not sure that we need to be able to toggle it on or off but that certainly can't hurt.
If you give us the option to toggle it on/off, there's no harm in adding this feature for everyone
I would also prefer to to have an option to turn it off. But sure, may be helpful for new users.
